About
I’m Laura, a specialist Parental Return to Work Coach.

Before I ventured into coaching I was an HR business partner, and part of my remit was supporting employees returning to work after the birth of a child.
But when I later became a parent for the first time myself, I realised just how much I’d been missing. Not just the ways in which logistics and priorities change, but I was shocked by how deeply emotional my maternity leave and return to work were. Parenthood fundamentally changed me as a person. Looking back now, I realise that none of the returning colleagues I’d supported had felt comfortable enough to share with me the realities of their experience.
I know now that this happens in organisations everywhere. New parents return to work whilst navigating enormous emotional and practical shifts, and often in silence. Meanwhile, employers struggle to retain talented people, miss the opportunity to develop future leaders, and see staff engagement suffer.
As a Parental Return to Work Coach, I help organisations change that story. With the experience of wearing both hats, as a parent and as an HR professional, I provide 1:1 support that ensures returning team members feel able to navigate their return to work. I provide a safe space to share with someone who gets it, and who gets them. Where they can reflect on and understand the changes they’re facing, and gain clarity and confidence. As a result, organisations that partner with me see a wealth of benefits from higher retention and improved staff engagement, to closing gender pay gaps and building family-friendly cultures.

Associates
Although many of my coachees work with me directly, I’m also fortunate to have strong relationships with other specialist coaches in the field. My partner organisations have access to this wider network too, giving coachees choice, a broad range of experience, and flexible availability.
